Norwich archdeaconries

THE Revd Simon Ward, Team Rector in the Great Yarmouth Team Ministry since 2017, and Hon. Canon of Norwich Cathedral since 2017, is now also joint Acting Archdeacon of Norfolk. He has stepped down as Rural Dean of Great Yarmouth, a post that he had held since 2021, to take on the extra duties. He was ordained priest in 2001 and served his title in Guildford diocese. He moved to St Edmundsbury & Ipswich diocese in 2003, before joining Norwich diocese, as Bishop’s Chaplain, in 2009.

The Revd Sally Theakston, Bishop’s Chaplain since 2019, Assistant Diocesan Director of Ordinands, since 2016, and Hon. Canon of Norwich Cathedral since 2010, is now also joint Acting Archdeacon of Norfolk. Canon Theakston was ordained deacon in 1989, served as a Parish Deacon in London and Southwark dioceses before serving a curacy in Putney. She has also served as a chaplain to the Royal Navy, and moved to Norwich diocese in 2002, where she has also served as parish priest and rural dean.

AAGAARD. The Revd Angus Aagaard, Team Rector in the North Lambeth Team Ministry (Southwark), to be Team Rector in the New Warwick Team Ministry (Warwick).

BERRY. The Revd Diane Berry, NS Assistant Curate (Distinctive Deacon) of the South Holderness Coast Benefice (York), to be Associate Minister.

CICILY ANTONY. The Revd Dionysisus Cicily Antony, NS Assistant Curate of All Saints’, Hillingdon, now NS Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Eastcote (London).

DAWSON. The Revd Stephen Dawson, Priest-in-Charge of Langcliffe with Stainforth and Horton-in-Ribblesdale now Vicar, remaining Assistant Curate of the Castleberg Benefice (Leeds).

GRIFFIN. The Revd Mark Griffin, Rector of St Martin and St Paul, Canterbury, to be Priest-in-Charge of Beeley and Edensor (Derby).

HARDY. The Revd Alison Hardy, Rector of the Moorland and Egloskerry Benefice, Team Vicar in the Launceston Team Ministry, and Rural Dean of Trigg Major (Truro), now Rector of Holsworthy, Hollacombe, Pyworthy, Pancrasweek and Bridgerule (Exeter).

HAWKINS. The Revd John Hawkins, formerly Hon. Priest-in-Charge of Burwash Weald, now house-for-duty Rector of Sedlescombe with Whatlington (Chichester).

JACKSON. The Revd Paul Jackson, formerly Vicar of the Middle Esk Moor Benefice, now Chaplain to the Order of the Holy Paraclete (York).

PENDENQUE. The Revd Susan Pendenque, Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Sherwood (Southwell & Nottingham), to be Vicar.

PINCHBECK. The Revd Caroline Pinchbeck, Rector of Goodmanham and of the Weighton Wold Benefice, Vicar of Sancton, and Rural Dean of South Wold, now also Canon and Prebendary of York Minster (York).

POULSON. The Revd Dr Anna Poulson, Vicar of Southall Green (London), to be Academic Dean of the Local Ministry Programme (Guildford).

SEABROOK. The Revd Penny Seabrook, Vicar of All Saints’, Fulham (London), to be Associate Vicar.

SHAW. The Revd Peter Shaw, Assistant Curate of Bilborough and Strelley (Southwell & Nottingham), to be Team Rector in the Emmanuel Church with St Paul Team Ministry, Plymouth (Exeter).

SUNDERLAND. The Revd Paul Sunderland, Assistant Curate of Richmond with Hudswell and Downholme and Marske (Leeds), to be Vicar of Kirkbymoorside with Gillamoor, Farndale, Bransdale and Edstone (York).

WEBB. The Revd Glenda Webb, NS Assistant Curate of the Bramham Benefice, now also NS Assistant Curate of Clifford, remaining Assistant Chaplain of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (York).
