The Scottish Episcopal Church (SEC) is the Province of the Anglican Communion in Scotland. It has a strong and high profile in Scottish life, is diverse in character and has a presence across the whole country.

The Synod wishes to appoint an Officer who will support and facilitate the churches of the North Western Synod in their relationships with one another and coordinate forward looking relations with ecumenical partners.
