Carmarthen post

THE new Archdeacon of Carmarthen, in St Davids diocese, is the Revd Dr Matthew Hill, Dean of the Bro Caerfyrddin (Carmathen) Local Ministry Area, and Canon of St Davids Cathedral since 2019. He was ordained priest in 1998 and served his title in Llandaff diocese. He has held parish posts in both Llandaff and St Davids diocese, and has been a university tutor and chaplain, and a vocations adviser.

Leicester appointments

THE Revd Christopher Johnson, Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of Wigston, in Leicester diocese, since 2016, is to be also Assistant Archdeacon from January to March, while the Archdeacon of Leicester, the Ven. Richard Worsfold, is on sabbatical. Mr Johnson will step down as Assistant Area Dean of Gartree during this time. The Archdeacon of Loughborough, the Ven. Claire Wood, will also support the Leicester archdeaconry.


Liverpool archdeaconries

THE diocese of Liverpool has appointed three Associate Archdeacons. The Revd Anne Taylor, Vicar of St Peter’s, Formby, since 2014, and Area Dean of Sefton North, since 2015, will serve Knowsley and Sefton archdeaconry. The Revd Robert Clack, Rector of Holy Trinity, Wavertree, since 2019, will hold his post in Liverpool archdeaconry. The Revd Henry Wood, Team Vicar in the St Helens Town Centre Team Ministry, since 2016, and Diocesan Director of Ordinands, since 2022, will serve in the St Helens and Warrington archdeaconry.

 

ASHTON. The Revd Mary Ashton, part-time Vicar of St John’s, Silverdale, to be also Diocesan Warden of Spiritual Directors (Blackburn).

BOSLEY. The Revd Susan Bosley, Assistant Curate in the Horley Team Ministry, to be Team Vicar in the Oxted Team Ministry, with responsibility for Hurst Green and Crowhurst (Southwark).

BOWDEN. The Revd Philip Bowden, Rector of the Mid Test Benefice (Winchester), to be Vicar and Oversight Minister of Acocks Green (Birmingham).

BULLOCK. The Revd Ian Bullock, Vicar of Littleborough (Manchester), to be Vicar of Pontefract, and Priest-in-Charge of Carleton and East Hardwick (Leeds).

CHILDS. The Revd Christopher Childs, Team Vicar in the Forest Heath Team Ministry, to be Team Rector, remaining Rural Dean of Mildenhall (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich).

COBURN. The Revd Sharron Coburn, Rector of the Brandon, Assistant Rural Dean of Mildenhall, and Assistant Diocesan Director of Ordinands, to be Diocesan Director of Mission and Ministry, remaining Hon. Canon of St Edmundsbury Cathedral (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich).

DAVIS. The Revd Geoffrey Davis, Hon. Interim Minister of St Keverne, St Ruan with St Grade and Landewednack, of Constantine, of Helson and Wendron, of Mullion and Cury with Gunwalloe, of Meneage, and of the West Kerrier Benefice, to be house-for-duty Minister of All Saints’, Falmouth, of King Charles the Martyr, Falmouth, of Budock and of Mawnan (Truro).

DUROSE. The Revd Emma Durose, Priest-in-Charge of St Just-in-Roseland and St Mawes now Assistant Curate of St Gluvias, Mylor with Flushing, and of Mabe (Truro).

FRENCH. The Revd Alexander French, Priest-in-Charge of Hay Mill, Yardley, and of South Yardley, to be Priest-in-Charge of St Benedict’s, Bordesley (Birmingham).

GRYLLS. The Revd Catherine Grylls, Vicar of Stirchley, and Diocesan Warden of Readers, now Mission Support Development and Lay Ministry Development Lead, remaining Hon. Canon of Birmingham (Birmingham).

HUBBARD. The Revd Catrin Hubbard, Assistant Curate in the Buxton with Burbage and King Sterndale Team Ministry, to be Assistant Curate (Student Missioner) of St John the Evangelist, Derby (Derby).

JOHNSON. The Revd Dr Victoria Johnson, Canon Precentor of York Minster (York), to be Dean of Chapel of St John’s College, Cambridge (Ely).

KEITH. The Revd Dr Elisabeth Keith, part-time Liberal Theologian of St Mark’s, Broomhill, Sheffield (Sheffield), to be full-time Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) and Liberal Theologian.

MORRIS. The Revd Kathryn Morris, Assistant Curate of St Saviour’s, Guildford (Guildford), to be LSMP Associate Minister.

NICHOLLS. The Revd Neil Nicholls, Priest-in-Charge of St Mary the Virgin, Welling (Southwark), to be Vicar.

SINGH. The Revd Thomas Singh, house-for-duty Priest-in-Charge of Sparkbrook with Balsall Heath, now also Chaplain to University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (Birmingham).

SMALL. The Revd William Small, Assistant Curate of St George’s, Malaga, Spain, to be Chaplain of St Andrew’s, Costa del Sol East, Spain (Europe).

ZUNDE-BAKER. The Revd Helga Zunde-Baker, NS Assistant Curate of Hackbridge and Beddington Corner, to be NS Assistant Curate of St Helier (Southwark).
