Holy Week in Art: Maundy Thursday

by
01 April 2021

Part 5: This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me

Our reflection for Maundy Thursday is based on The Last Supper: a Night Piece, an anonymous work from the Italian Venetian School (16th century).

These reflections for Holy Week, by the Revd Professor Sarah Foot, Regius Professor of Ecclesiastical History at the University of Oxford, are based on paintings in the collection of Christ Church, Oxford.
